Jade McNamara is an Assistant Professor of Human Nutrition at the University of Maine, affiliated with the School of Food and Agriculture within the College of Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture. She divides her time equally between teaching and research, focusing on nutrition behavior change and food literacy in youth and young adults.
- Education: Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island
Research Interests: Her work applies theory-driven behavior change methods to study how food literacy and personal/environmental factors influence dietary behaviors. She develops curricula, surveys, and interventions to promote healthy choices and critical thinking in health studies.
