Jade Hoyer is an Assistant Professor of Art at Carleton College, affiliated with the Department of Art and Art History since 2022. She teaches courses such as Silkscreen Printmaking (ARTS 274), Observational Drawing (ARTS 110), Design Fundamentals, Zines, and Artistic Publications (ARTS 276), Junior Studio Art Practicum (ARTS 298), and Advanced Printmaking (ARTS 374).
In her multimedia artistic practice, Hoyer employs installation, printmaking, papermaking, and social practice to examine social issues, particularly questions of multiracial identity and environmental justice. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is included in collections such as the Museum at Texas Tech University’s Artist Printmaker Research Collection, the Association of Pinoy Printmakers (Philippines), and the Museu da Gravura de Curitiba (Brazil).
