Jacques Fellay

Jacques Fellay is an Associate Professor at the School of Life Sciences (SV) at EPFL, leading the Fellay Lab focused on Human Genomics of Infection and Immunity. His research integrates genomic and bioinformatic approaches to understand immune responses and host-pathogen interactions, with a focus on infectious diseases and personalized medicine. He holds positions at multiple institutions including CHUV (Lausanne University Hospital), Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, and Health2030 Genome Center in Geneva.

Education: MD from University of Lausanne (2002), PhD from University of Utrecht. Postdoctoral training at Duke University. Key roles include Head of Precision Medicine at CHUV and membership in the Swiss National Covid-19 Task Force.

Research interests span genomic determinants of infectious disease outcomes, including HIV, tuberculosis, and hepatitis. His lab develops translational tools like polygenic risk scores and genomic association studies.
