Jacqueline Shaw

Jacqueline Shaw is an Assistant Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design and founder of Studio Euonym, focusing on constructs of value in historical objects and systems of evaluation for design archives. Her work explores re-evaluative approaches to historic preservation.

• Education: Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan; BFA in Interior Design from California State University, Long Beach
• Professional Experience: 10 years in New York City and Detroit, including roles at SPAN Architecture, Jaklitsch/Gardner Architects (now Stephen Burks Man Made), and M1DTW
• Research Interests: Critical analysis of preservation practices, design archives, and material value systems

The Jean Labatut Memorial Lectures in Architecture and Urban Planning Fund supported her recent lecture at Princeton University School of Architecture, which investigated how historic preservation can challenge additive design processes.
