Jacqueline Mackaway is a Lecturer in the School of Communication, Society and Culture at Macquarie University, specializing in sociology of work and education. She has served as Unit Convenor for courses including SSCI3003 and SSCI1001 since 2015.
- Education: PhD in Access and equity in work-integrated learning (WIL) (2019), Masters of Museum Studies (2013), Bachelor of Arts (Dip Ed) (1998), Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (2005)
Her research focuses on work-integrated learning, diversity and inclusion in organizations, and the future of work. She has published extensively on equity in WIL, gendered workplace dynamics, and inclusion strategies.
Recent publications examine caregiving responsibilities in education, institutional capacity-building for WIL, and gendered gatekeeping in academic settings. Her work addresses national and global challenges in preparing graduates for evolving workforce demands.
