Jacqueline Holzer

Jacqueline Holzer is a Professor and currently serves as the Dean of the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). She holds a Licentiate in German Language and Literature, Economics, and Philosophy from the University of Zürich, and a PhD in the history of linguistic anthropology from the United States. Her academic career includes roles as a lecturer and professor at the HSLU’s Institute for Communication & Marketing, as well as leadership positions at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and the HSLU’s Design & Art department. She has also served as a board member for organizations like the Cartoon Museum Basel and ELIA Art Schools Amsterdam.

Her research focuses on innovation leadership, organizational theory, and cultural analysis, with notable contributions to publications like Innovation Leadership and Wie Wissen entsteht. She has led projects such as JUST ARCHITECTURE? and Innovation Dynamics in Practice, emphasizing boundary objects and symbolic mediation in organizational innovation. Holzer’s work bridges academic research with practical applications in education and arts management, reflecting her commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and institutional transformation.

Her professional development includes the HEM Executive Programme in Higher Education Management (2019) and certifications in nonprofit management from the University of Basel (2016). She actively engages in international conferences, presenting on topics like performative arts leadership and trust-building processes in theatrical practices.
