معرفی
Jacqueline Hamilton is Professor of Chemistry at the University of York, leading research on atmospheric aerosols and air quality. Her work examines organic particulate matter formation and composition, particularly from domestic fuel combustion and urban emissions.
Dr. Hamilton develops analytical methods using comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography to characterize volatile organic compounds in polluted urban environments. Her studies in London, Beijing and Delhi have revealed previously underestimated diesel emissions.
Recent publications investigate biomass burning aerosols, ozone formation mechanisms, chemical degradation pathways, and emission inventories. Her work demonstrates consistent focus on pollution sources, atmospheric transformation processes, and health implications.
Awards:
- President of Chemistry Section, British Science Association (2018)
- Desty Memorial Award for Innovation in Separation Science (2009)
She leads multiple research projects funded by NERC and other agencies, including studies on domestic fuel emissions and atmospheric aging processes. Her group maintains international collaborations through measurement campaigns in major cities.
