Jacqueline Carter

Professor Jacqueline Carter is a faculty member in the Department of Social Statistics at The University of Manchester. Her research expertise spans quantitative methods, data literacy, and experiential learning, with a focus on enhancing educational and professional capacities in social sciences globally. She contributes to the Cathie Marsh Institute and Digital Futures research platforms, and serves on the Urban Big Data Centre Advisory Board since 2016.

Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly addressing education and global development challenges. Key projects include improving statistics teaching methodologies through international dialogues (e.g., Colombia–UK collaboration) and evaluating experiential learning programs to foster data-skilled researchers.
