Professor Jacqueline Bowden is Director of the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) at Flinders University. She is a behavioral scientist with over twenty years of experience bridging research and public health policy, specializing in tobacco control, alcohol, and other drugs. Her work includes advising the South Australian Government for over 15 years and leading national evaluations of public health campaigns.

- Master of Public Health (MPH)
Her research focuses on policy and health promotion strategies to reduce risk factors for cancer, particularly tobacco and alcohol consumption. She has secured over $17M in research funding and contributed to public health initiatives like Australia’s largest campaign on alcohol risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
She has held leadership roles at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) and the University of Adelaide, including Deputy Director of the Health Policy Centre and Externally Funded Research Fellow positions.
