Jacqueline Alderson

Jacqueline Alderson is a Professor and Tech Director at the UWA Tech & Policy Lab within the UWA Law School. She specializes in biomechanics, artificial intelligence for sport and health technology, and pro-public technology applications. Her research focuses on optimizing performance, injury prevention, and applied machine learning in human-centered systems. She has supervised 26 doctoral, 5 masters, and 44 honours students, with 5 current PhD candidates.

• Roles: Tech Director (UWA Tech & Policy Lab), Executive Council member of the International Society of Biomechanics (ISB), and Advisory Board member for the UK EPSRC CAMERA 2.0.

Her research interests span wearable tech, injury prevention, and machine learning applications. She has secured ~$8M AUD in grants from bodies like the Australian Research Council and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
