Jacopo Berneri is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo's Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities. His research focuses on the metaphysics of properties and propositions, with interests spanning logic, philosophy of logic, and formal ontology. He contributes to the C-FORS project, exploring constructional approaches to address paradoxes in metaphysical frameworks. Berneri holds an MA in Philosophical Sciences from the University of Padua, where his thesis critiqued Timothy Williamson's necessitist metaphysics and proposed contingentist alternatives.
His work bridges formal semantics and metaphysical foundations, aiming to develop robust accounts of properties and relations. He is currently advancing structured views of propositions and properties against paradoxical challenges. Collaborations within the C-FORS project emphasize interdisciplinary engagement with formal sciences.
