Jacob Torfing is a Professor of Politics and Institutions and Research Director at the Roskilde School of Governance (Department of Social Sciences and Business, Roskilde University, Denmark). His work focuses on public sector reforms, network governance, collaborative innovation, interactive political leadership, and climate change. He leads the GOGREEN project (2022–2026) addressing green transitions and participates in ROBUST (2022–2026), analyzing crisis governance. He supervises three PhD students and has published over 440 research outputs.
Research Interests: Combines qualitative and mixed methods to study co-creation of solutions for societal challenges, leadership roles in cross-boundary collaboration, and institutional design. Recent work emphasizes climate policy, robust governance in turbulent contexts, and democratic quality of co-creation processes.
