- MSc in Computer Science (University of Durham)
- BSc in Computer Science (University of Durham)
Rigby’s work bridges HCI with critical climate change adaptation efforts, particularly in rural East Africa. He investigates how digital platforms can empower communities through improved climate information sharing. His immersive media research explores user engagement metrics and the impact of technology on entertainment consumption patterns, including binge-watching behaviors and 360-video experiences.
His recent publications highlight trends in climate service design for pastoralist communities and HCI challenges in hyperconnected media environments. Key themes include user-centered climate tools, cross-device viewing practices, and immersion measurement frameworks. Rigby’s research group focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, collaborating on projects that integrate technology with societal and environmental needs.
