Jacob R. Moremen

Jacob R. Moremen, MD, is an Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine, University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), Jackson, MS. He serves as Director of the School of Medicine at UMMC (since 2023) and as Chairman of the Multispecialty Tumor Board at the VA Medical Center (VAMC) (since 2018). His clinical expertise spans lung cancers, mesothelioma, thoracic surgery, and gastrointestinal (GI) cancers.

• Residency: Medical Center of Central Georgia; Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Moremen is board-certified in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery (Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery) by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (2018–2028) and the American Board of Surgery (2014–2024). He holds a Mississippi Medical License (2016–2020).
