Jacob Martinez

Jacob Martinez serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing within the School of Nursing at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), based in the Health Sciences and School of Nursing Building in El Paso, Texas.

As a Nurse scientist, Dr. Martinez specializes in addressing critical gaps in reproductive and sexual health and health disparities affecting Hispanic populations, with concentrated focus on Latinx males in the US-Mexico Border region. His research examines intersections of gender, culture, and stress through community-based, interdisciplinary approaches integrating nursing and public health methodologies.
