Jacob Hackett is a Clinical Associate Professor and coordinator of the Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education program at Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development (CEHD). He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Washington, Seattle, and degrees from The Ohio State University. With over 20 years in public education, his expertise spans teaching, teacher education, and research focused on equity and social justice.
His research integrates community-based, place-based learning, and culturally responsive pedagogy, emphasizing historical models of multi-cultural movements to address systemic inequities such as school funding disparities and racial segregation.
