Jaclyn Quin is a Post-doctoral researcher in the Group Ankarklev at Stockholm University's Department of Molecular Biosciences, located at The Wenner-Gren Institute. Her research focuses on understanding the biological mechanisms underlying malaria transmission, with particular emphasis on host-pathogen interactions, immunological responses, and epigenetic regulation. She works in Room F516 and contributes to projects aimed at developing strategies to combat malaria spread.
Her research interests span malaria biology, molecular parasitology, and the interplay between host immune systems and pathogens. Key projects include studying how malaria-derived hemozoin affects dendritic cell function and bacterial infection outcomes, as well as investigating ADAR1 activity in Plasmodium infections. She collaborates on single-cell and spatial transcriptomic analyses to elucidate liver-stage parasite dynamics and disease pathways.
Jaclyn's recent articles highlight advancements in chromatin remodeling, RNA editing, and computational tools for disease pathway discovery. While no formal awards or grants are listed, her work demonstrates impactful contributions to malaria research and immunology. She is actively involved in the Ankarklev research group, contributing to both experimental and computational approaches in the field.
