Professor Jackie Wahba is a Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton, specializing in applied labor economics with a focus on international migration and refugee policy. She holds fellowships at IZA, CReAM, and the Economic Research Forum (ERF), and serves on the ESRC Council. Her research interests include migration determinants, refugee integration, and economic policy impacts.
She has advised international organizations such as the World Bank, OECD, and African Development Bank. Her recent work examines Brexit's migration effects, diaspora networks, and refugee labor market outcomes. She currently supervises seven PhD students in Economics.
