Jackie Liu is a Lecturer in the Management Department at Southern Cross University's Faculty of Business, Law and Arts. He joined in 2009 after academic roles at the University of Adelaide, University of New England, and other institutions since 1992. His research focuses on securities market supervision, carbon emissions finance, corporate governance, and Chinese accounting standards. He holds a PhD from the University of New England (Australia).
Research interests include post-GFC regulatory frameworks, behavioral finance applications, and the intersection of environmental factors with corporate finance. His work explores board committee effectiveness, earnings management practices, and disclosure trends in cross-listed Chinese firms. Over 20 years of teaching experience includes advanced accounting units like Management Accounting, Auditing, and Corporate Governance.
