Dr. Jack Mulder Jr. is a Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Department of Philosophy at Hope College. He also serves as Assistant Director of the Saint Benedict Institute, a Catholic organization on campus. His research focuses on philosophy of religion, Catholic thought, applied ethics, philosophy of race, and the thought of Søren Kierkegaard.

His recent publications analyze intersections of Race and Epistemology (e.g., 'Whiteness and Religious Experience'), Religious Dialogue (e.g., 'Augustine and Kierkegaard on Martyrdom'), and Ethical Disagreement (e.g., 'A Short Argument Against Abortion Rights').
He is actively involved in student mentorship through collaborative research projects and teaches in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Holland, Michigan.
