Jack Greenberg is a doctoral candidate in political science at Yale University and a resident graduate affiliate of the Institution for Social and Policy Studies (ISPS). Beginning Fall 2025, he will join Trinity College as a visiting assistant professor in political science, public policy, and law. His research focuses on presidential leadership within America's system of separated powers, emphasizing presidential prioritization and congressional statutory expectations.
Education:
- B.A. in Political Science (cum laude, highest honors), Williams College, 2018
Research Interests: Greenberg explores how presidents strategically prioritize policy agendas through case studies of modern administrations. His work challenges prior assumptions about presidential agency, demonstrating leaders' ability to shape national direction via 'political projects.' He also investigates Congress's reliance on presidential self-restraint in statutory design, analyzing post-Watergate appointments legislation.
