Jacek Czub

Professor Jacek Czub serves as both Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Gdańsk University of Technology. His academic career spans multiple research domains in computational biophysical chemistry with significant contributions to understanding biomolecular systems through advanced simulation techniques.

Research Interests: Professor Czub's work centers on molecular dynamics simulations applied to complex biological systems. His research program investigates the structural and dynamic properties of lipid bilayers, DNA G-quadruplex structures, and antibiotic mechanisms—particularly focusing on amphotericin B's interactions with biomembranes. His methodological expertise includes free energy calculations and development of novel simulation approaches for studying macromolecular motions.
