Jaakko Laaksonen

Jaakko Laaksonen is a University Instructor and Licentiate Student in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. He holds a Master of Science (Technology) in Science and Engineering awarded in January 2008. His research focuses on genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry, particularly mitochondrial and nuclear DNA interactions, DNA methylation, and genome-wide analysis. Additionally, he has contributed to environmental biosafety through aerosol monitoring techniques for detecting airborne biological threats.
