Jaakko Hintikka

Jaakko Hintikka was a Professor of Philosophy at Boston University until his passing on August 12, 2015. He was a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters and held academic positions in Finland and internationally. His primary research areas included mathematical and philosophical logic, epistemology, and the history of philosophy.

His contributions include pioneering work in game-theoretical semantics, interrogative inquiry models, and possible-worlds semantics.
