Ja-beom Koo

Dr. Ja-beom Koo is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at The Cooper Union's Albert Nerken School of Engineering. He holds a B.S. and M.S. from Korea University (2006-2008) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington (2016). Before academia, he worked at SK Hynix Semiconductor and Intel Corporation, specializing in analog/RF circuit design and semiconductor technology development. His research focuses on RF IC design for wireless applications, leveraging industry experience in high-speed circuits and FinFet technology. He actively collaborates with institutions like TSMC and NVIDIA, and contributed to projects such as 140GHz transceiver systems and 22nm FinFet lab management.
