JP Morgan

JP Morgan is a Professor and Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives in the College of Science at Virginia Tech, serving in the Department of Statistics. His academic career includes extensive contributions to experimental design theory and statistical methodology. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1983), alongside M.S. (1982) and B.S. (1979) degrees in Mathematics and Statistics.

Research interests focus on experimental design, linear models, multivariate analysis, and combinatorial design theory. Notable contributions include work on nested designs, optimal block designs, and spatially correlated error models. He has authored/co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals like Annals of Statistics and Biometrika.
