JOSE MARIA MORENO NAVARRETE

Dr. Jose Maria Moreno-Navarrete is a Consolidated Researcher (R3) in the Department of Nutrition, Eumetabolism and Health at the University of Girona. His research focuses on obesity phenotyping, metabolic dysfunction-associated liver disease, adipose tissue biology, and systems medicine approaches to precision nutrition. He leads projects funded by the European Union (Stratification of Obese Phenotypes, HADEA) and Spanish agencies (Ministry of Economy, Carlos III Institute).

Research interests include multiomics analysis of gut-liver-adipose axis interactions, iron metabolism in obesity, and biomarker discovery for metabolic diseases.
