JAVIER RICO DIAZ

Javier Rico Diaz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Didactics at the Faculty of Education Sciences, University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). He transitioned from part-time to full-time employment in September 2021 and serves as the Rector's Delegate for Sport at USC since May 2022. His research focuses on physical education and healthy physical activity promotion in schools.

Active in educational research since 2013, he contributes to the ESCULCA Research Group (code GI-1790) and has developed institutional programs like the Healthy Galicia Plan. His career includes leadership roles in Galician sports administration prior to academia.
