JAVIER GIL QUINTANA

Javier Gil Quintana is a researcher and educator affiliated with the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Valencia. He is a member of the research groups AFES: Physical Activity, Education, and Society and the LGBTQ+ Research Network in Physical Education and Sport, focusing on social justice and inclusivity in sports.

His research spans:

• Physical education pedagogy and hidden curricula
• LGBTQ+ inclusion in sports
• Vulnerable groups (women, people with disabilities, marginalized youth)
• Qualitative methodologies, ethnography, and participant observation

He has conducted research stays at the University of Paris Descartes, University of Reno-Nevada, and Monash University (2023), and collaborates in seminars, international projects, and journal reviews.
