Prof. J.W.M. Hilgenkamp is a Professor of Experimental Physics at the Leiden Institute of Physics (LION), affiliated with the Science college at Leiden University. His research focuses on quantum materials and spintronics, particularly the interlayer exciton condensation effects in condensed matter systems.
- Research Interests: Quantum materials, spin propagation, exciton condensation, and interlayer interactions.
- Advising: Supervised former PhD candidates Jörn Willem Friedrich Venderbos and Louk Rademaker.
