Dr. de Vries holds a DPhil in theoretical physics from Oxford University and studied sculpture at the University of Kingston, reflecting his unique interdisciplinary background. His educational path demonstrates an intentional fusion of scientific rigor and artistic expression.
His research focuses on technology policy with particular expertise in radio spectrum allocation. Currently, he explores how socially significant narratives help people understand complex technologies, representing an innovative intersection of storytelling, policy analysis, and technical understanding. Before his academic career, de Vries gained practical industry experience working in seed capital investment, technology consulting, and software development.
