J.M. Hoekstra

Prof.dr.ir. J.M. Hoekstra is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology. His research focuses on advancing air traffic management systems through computational methods and AI applications.

Research Focus: Hoekstra leads investigations in aircraft engineering, air traffic optimization, and autonomous systems. His work integrates reinforcement learning for conflict resolution in drone operations and develops trajectory generation algorithms for urban airspace. Recent projects examine safety systems for high-density air traffic and optimal flight path modeling under environmental constraints.
