J. Mark Lewis

Dr. J. Mark Lewis is an Assistant Professor of Business Law in the Department of Economics & Finance at Arkansas State University, affiliated with the Neil Griffin College of Business. He teaches law-related courses and contributes to legal education with a strong professional background in public service and private practice.

His educational background includes a J.D. from the University of Little Rock School of Law, graduate studies at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, and a B.S. in Public Relations from Arkansas State University.

Dr. Lewis's research and professional interests center on business law, legal education, public policy, and ethics. His career in law includes service as an Assistant Attorney General and Municipal Attorney in Arkansas, as well as participation in specialized training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. He has also worked in private practice as a solo practitioner, of counsel to a law firm, and as a lobbyist, while contributing to continuing legal education through TRT Inc.

He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and admitted to practice in Arkansas state and federal courts.

Dr. Lewis serves on the Board of Directors of Ridgefield Christian School, reflecting his engagement beyond academia. He maintains an active role in teaching and professional service with no indication of retirement or part-time status.
