Prof. Işıl Balcıoğlu is a Professor at the Institute of Environmental Sciences at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul. Her research focuses on advanced oxidation processes for water/wastewater treatment, chemical processes in environmental engineering, and micropollutant behavior. She holds a Ph.D. (1990), M.S. (1985), and B.S. (1982) in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul University.
