Ivy Hauser

Dr. Ivy Hauser is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics & TESOL at The University of Texas at Arlington, part of the College of Liberal Arts. Her research focuses on phonetics, phonology, and psycholinguistics, particularly investigating how speech sounds vary across languages and how pronunciation shifts based on auditory input. She holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2019), with earlier degrees from the same institution and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hauser has received numerous accolades, including NSF awards and teaching distinctions, and actively serves on committees for the Linguistic Society of America and other professional organizations.
