Ivo Gruev

Ivo Gruev is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Fundamental Rights at the Hertie School and a lecturer in public international law at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). His work bridges constitutional law, human rights, and political dynamics in transitional societies.

His research focuses on the erosion of liberal constitutionalism and the evolving interplay between governments, courts, and human rights in both established and fragile democracies. He has worked with institutions such as the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the German Parliament, the International Criminal Court, and the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law.
