Ivey Davis

Ivey Davis (they/them) is a Bell Burnell Postdoctoral Fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON), conducting research on stellar phenomena at metric wavelengths with special focus on star-planet interactions and exo-solar space weather.

Dr. Davis's educational background includes:

• PhD in Astrophysics, 2025, California Institute of Technology
• MSc in Astrophysics, 2022, California Institute of Technology
• BSc in Astrophysics, 2020, University of New Mexico (with minors in Mathematics and Linguistics)

Research spans multi-wavelength studies of stellar astrophysics, particularly the development and commissioning of specialized instrumentation including optical photometry systems and low-frequency radio equipment for monitoring stellar activity. Key investigation areas include stellar and planetary magnetic fields, time-domain astrophysics, and space weather phenomena beyond our solar system.

Dr. Davis has been awarded the prestigious Bell Burnell Fellowship, supporting their innovative research at ASTRON.
