Ivano Dionigi

Prof. Dr. Ivano Dionigi is a distinguished Italian academic and former Rector of the University of Bologna, a leading institution in European higher education. He has held professorial positions at several universities, including Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the University of Ravenna, and has been a central figure in advancing the Bologna Process, contributing significantly to the development of the European Higher Education Area.

His research spans Classical Philology, Latin and Greek literature, ancient philosophy (particularly Stoicism and Epicureanism), and the interplay between paganism and Christianity.
