Ivana Ilic is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Theory at Emory University, currently on sabbatical from the University of Arts in Belgrade. She holds a PhD from the University of Arts in Belgrade and researches music theory epistemology, gender representation in opera, and Serbian contemporary music.
Her publications include Femme Fatale: Representations of Gender on the Opera Stage and co-edited volumes like Music and Space: Theoretical and Analytical Perspectives. Ilic also performs as a pianist and contributes to interdisciplinary artistic projects.
