Ivan Brick

Professor Ivan Brick is the Dean’s Professor of Business and Director of the Whitcomb Center for Research in Financial Services at Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick. He has been affiliated with the university since 1978 and served as Chair of the Department of Finance and Economics from 1996 to 2023.

His research focuses on corporate finance, optimal security design, and corporate governance, with publications in top-tier journals like the Journal of Finance and Journal of Corporate Finance. His work explores topics such as CEO compensation, corporate committees, and financial risk management.
