István Fazekas is a Professor of Early Modern History at the Faculty of Humanities, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest, Hungary. He also serves as Head of Department at the HUN-REN–ELTE University History Research Group. His academic credentials include the Doctor of Science (DSc) degree, the highest academic qualification in Hungary.
