Dr Issy Bacon is a Senior Lecturer in Animal Health at Hartpury University, specializing in viral livestock diseases. Previously, they taught at Writtle University College (2022–2023). They hold a PhD from The Royal Veterinary College (2023) and a BSc in Bioveterinary Science from the University of Lincoln (2018). Their research focuses on livestock disease mechanisms, vaccine design, and welfare-enhancing technologies. Current projects include developing data repositories for endoparasitic infections and mastitis analysis.
