Israel De Alba

Israel De Alba, MD is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, where he serves in the Hospitalist Program and as a Research Scientist at the Center for Health Policy Research.

His research focuses on racial and ethnic health disparities, particularly examining cultural factors that affect cancer preventive behaviors among Orange County Latinas, including Pap smears and mammograms. His clinical interests encompass chronic disease management, cancer early detection, hospital medicine, and internal medicine.
