Prof. Dr. Ismail Baris is a Professor of Social Work at Uskudar University's Faculty of Social Work since 2014, holding the rank since 2021. He earned his PhD in Economy from Istanbul University (2008) and has served as Head of the Social Work Department and Director of the KÜGEMER Research Center. His research focuses on family sociology, social policy, disaster management, and marginalized populations. He has supervised 12+ theses addressing issues like Syrian children's psychosocial challenges, chronic disease coping during pandemics, and seasonal laborers' child education problems.
