Prof. Dr. Ismail Önder is a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at the Faculty of Education, Sakarya University. His research interests include Science Education, Educational Measurement and Evaluation, Chronobiology, Circadian Rhythms, Morningness-Eveningness Preferences, Academic Achievement, Sleep Patterns, and Homework Practices. He employs both quantitative and qualitative methodologies in educational research.
The recent articles demonstrate a strong focus on the interplay between biological rhythms and academic performance, particularly among university and high school students. His work frequently involves psychometric validation of scales related to chronotype and sleep, and he often collaborates with researchers such as Şenol Beşoluk, Mehmet Barış Horzum, and Ercan Demirhan.
