Iskander Diyashev is a Professor at the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering within Texas A&M University's College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University (1998) and an M.S. in Molecular and Chemical Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (1990).
His research focuses on reservoir engineering, hydrocarbon evaluation, and fluid dynamics in extraction systems, with specific expertise in:
- Optimizing hydrocarbon recovery through advanced reservoir modeling
- Development of reserves assessment methodologies
- Design and interpretation of well testing procedures
- Management strategies for gas reservoirs
He was honored as a Distinguished Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers in 2024 for his field-defining contributions.
