Iskander Abbasi

Iskander Abbasi is a Lecturer at Fordham University's Theology Faculty, specializing in Contemporary Islam, Environmental Ethics, and Decolonial Theory. His research critiques anthropocentrism and capitalism through an Islamic ecoliberationist lens. He convenes the annual Critical Muslim Studies summer school and was a co-chair of the Liberation Theologies unit at the American Academy of Religion.
