Isabel Vivas Pérez

Dr. Isabel Vivas Pérez is a Radiodiagnostic specialist at the University of Navarra Clinic and an academic affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Navarra. She specializes in abdominal pathology, utilizing advanced imaging techniques such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and has pioneered CT-guided interventions.

• Education: Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra (1997), PhD in Medicine (2003).
• Professional Roles: Collaborated in launching the Breast Unit, implemented the whole-body CT program, and served as Head of the Computed Tomography Department (2002-2008).
• Teaching: Associate Professor in Radiology and Physical Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, and Associate Professor at the Government of Navarra's School of Radiology Technicians since 2016.

Research Focus: Her work centers on diagnostic imaging of abdominal pathologies using CT and MRI, with expertise in hepatobiliary, urological, and gynecological imaging, as well as abdominal interventions. She contributed to clinical trials and holds an international patent for irreversible electroporation combined with immunological adjuvants in hepatic carcinoma treatment.

Leadership & Collaborations: Active in clinical governance as a member of the Radiology Service board since 2015, and a Clinical Tutor for medical students since 2002.
