Alberto Benito Boillos

Dr. Alberto Benito Boillos serves as Co-director of the Radiology Department at the University Clinic of Navarra and is a Professor of Radiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra. With over three decades of clinical experience since graduating in Medicine in 1992, he specializes in abdominal radiology, ultrasound, and MRI techniques with particular expertise in liver, intestinal, and prostate imaging.

His educational background includes a Medical Degree (1992) and Doctorate in Medicine (2001) from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra, followed by specialization in Radiodiagnosis (1996) from the University of Navarra Clinic.

Dr. Boillos focuses his research on advanced imaging techniques for abdominal pathologies, particularly in liver diseases radiology, abdominal oncological radiology, and prostate radiology with MRI. His work bridges clinical practice with innovative imaging methodologies, emphasizing minimally invasive ultrasound-guided abdominal procedures and intraoperative ultrasound applications.

Analysis of his recent publications reveals a strong emphasis on advancing MRI and ultrasound techniques for abdominal imaging, with particular focus on liver and prostate pathologies. Dr. Boillos maintains active involvement with multiple professional organizations including the European Society of Radiology (ESR), Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM), Spanish Society of Abdominal Radiology (SEDIA), Navarra Society of Radiology, and Spanish Ultrasound Society (SEUS), where he contributes to advancing the field through collaborative research and knowledge sharing.
