Ignacio González Crespo

Dr. Ignacio González Crespo is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra, where he serves as a Clinical Collaborator in Radiology. His expertise lies in abdominal imaging and digital radiology management, with a focus on colorectal cancer and PACS systems.

Education:

• Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra in 1989
• PhD in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra in 1989
• Specialist in Radiodiagnosis at Donosti Hospital, San Sebastián (1996)
• Doctor of Medicine from the University of Navarra (since 2016)

Clinical and Research Focus: His work spans colorectal cancer imaging, adipose tissue quantification using radiological techniques, and development of PACS systems. Clinically, he specializes in general abdominal pathology (hepatic, biliopancreatic, colorectal, prostate), intraoperative ultrasound, and colorectal CT colonography (Virtual Colonoscopy).

Professional Affiliations: He is a member of the Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM), European Society of Radiology (ESR), Spanish Society of Abdominal Diagnostic Imaging (SEDIA), European Society of Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR), Spanish Society of Diagnostic Ultrasonography (SEUS), and Navarra Radiology Association (ARN).

Teaching Contributions: Since 1998, he has collaborated in teaching Clinical Radiology and Clinical Practice, led Abdominal Radiology seminars, and participated in continuing education courses at the University of Navarra Clinic.
